Dear Readers…
As a tech geek, I’m always looking into new ways to market my Salem Oregon real estate listings…so I’m wanting some feedback from you guys who read my posts.
I have done custom blogsites for my listings you can see one here at 970 Heather Lane. I recently got inspired to do an online book for my properties. I did a test run with this today and wanted to see what you all thought.
I know this embed is small, but you can click the bottom right hand corner to move through the book or go to the website for the big version here.
Good, bad, cool, uncool…lay the feedback on me…
That book is pretty cool. It’s easy to use, fun and different. Your web presence really makes you stand out. I think I know someone who once lived in that house.
Thanks Salem Man. I have a few glitches to work out, but I thought it was a good idea…
I like the idea of the blog post — the text next to each room’s description gives me a good sense of the home, and it allows you to point out the best selling points of the home (the yard, for example.) I also like the accents page on your main street home.
You asked for feedback, so here is a short wish list:
1) As an out of towner who’s expecting to relocate, I don’t know as much about the area as I would like, so I would appreciate a map and a little information about the neighborhood. Your neighborhood takes on your blog are very good. Perhaps you could link to them.
2) I would love to know how the house flows. In an ideal world, I would be able to see a diagram of the home layout.
Justin I was thinking a map would be a good idea also. I could have a page of just neighborhood info that links to schools, local eats, and a neighborhood post if I have done one…that’s a good idea I hadn’t thought of.
Floor plans are becoming more and more requested. For new homes they are easily accessed as builders often have a copy…I’d have to draw one in my SmartDraw program for this one. I’ve done a couple in the past, but I’m not super adept at them yet. I’ll keep that idea in mind and see if I can figure out an easy way to do that.
