“My eyes…aaggh, my eyes,” shrieked the woman.
“Mommy, what is that? Will I melt?” whimpered the small child as she clung to her mother’s leg.
“Something weird is happening…this isn’t supposed to happen…not now.”
Off the dark, wet pavement the sheen bounced everywhere creating retinal mayhem for the residents of the mid-valley city. Totally unprepared, residents covered their eyes, and ran for their cars to get their protective eye gear before their retinas were burned to smithereens.
They didn’t have the chance to send their eyes through the proper calisthenics to prepare for the event about to unfold on them as they had settled into the normal winter atrophy. Pupils lazily constricted to compensate for the incredible glare, leaving residents speechless, and wondering if this was one of Nostradamus’ predictions about the coming Armageddon. Apparently no one told it the way it is supposed to be. Our pupils are in hibernation this time of year.
Something totally crazy happened today.
It was a glorious sunny day.
