It’s been no big secret that many people don’t feel too fondly for their real estate agents.
Gallup does a survey every year about professionals, integrity, respect…you get the idea. Essentially, what professions are the most respected and what are the least. They released their annual study at the end of November.
Agents are not at the top of the pack, and honestly never will be, but we did get farther away from lobbyists and car salesman which is where we have been in years past.
57% of you thought we were average. Not a ringing endorsement, but honestly probably true of all professions.
Unfortunately 25% still think agents are closer to pond scum than honest professionals. I’d love to tell you that consumers are screwed up and that we are all dedicated to being honest professionals, but well…we all know that is not true.
So…at least we are rising in the rankings, so that means the hard work of GOOD agents is starting to pay off. We are out here trying to educate consumers about how to avoid that 25% that isn’t so great. Maybe next year, we can continue to rise in the ranks.
