No, not that kind…
It isn’t my wedding anniversary.
It seems like ages ago that I launched my own real estate brokerage here in Salem Oregon. When I got my real estate license, it was always the plan for me to have my own brokerage because I want to do things my way. Hey, even my twitter page says I’m opinionated! Part of my business plan was to start a blog. One of those things I’d read about somewhere and thought, “Sure…why not. How hard can it be?”
Little did I know what was in store for me: cluelessness, blogger’s block, blogger’s butt (oh wait…I’m not supposed to talk about that) and a keyboard that has the letters rubbed off it.
Three long years ago, I wrote my first post on Blogger. I later moved everything over to WordPress, with much pain and suffering in the process, as I was totally clueless about WP, but it is like second nature to me now. As I wrote my first post in WordPress, I sighed in frustration and thought “I can’t blog on this…it’s too hard.” Now, I wonder how I survived on Blogger for so long.
Today is my third year anniversary of this here real estate blog. It’s been an amazing three years of insanely hard work for something I thought would be “fairly” easy. Um…yeah… hey, delusional lady over there with big grandiose ideas, what the heck were you thinking?
This blog has allowed me to meet some amazing people who have used me as their agent: this blog has forced me to stay on top of the Salem Oregon real estate market: and this blog has helped me to be a better real estate agent. For all those things, I am thankful.
So…head back to my first post that I ever wrote, and thank you all for reading my blog.
Happy Anniversary, Melina!!
Happy Anniversary! I really appreciate the info you provide for us. I feel like I’m well informed with what is going on in the RE marketplace. The information here is always honest even though the truth is sometimes painful to hear. I’m hopeful in the next three years the RE in Salem is going to go through the roof! Thanks Melina
Thanks guys!
