You want to know what agents really do at open houses?

  1. Love your blog and that video is terrific. But, one thing kinda digs at me — you know that cute comment about “be nice, create your own content” thing? It makes me wonder how much you’re paying Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel for the use of THEIR content (song).jus’ sayin.

  2. Walker,Unless I am mistaken the agent that made the video should have purchased the license to use the song in his video snippet. Just like people purchase the license to use a song in an advertisement. The TV viewer doesn’t pay the licensing fee, the originator of the ad with the song does. There are different types of licenses that you can purchase, depending on whether or not you are a radio station, etc. If the agent did not purchase a license to use the song, then it would be a copyright violation. Obviously, I am not an expert, but that is my understanding.
