Dear Mother Nature,

I just wanted to clarify something for you because it seems that you are a tad bit confused. See I live here in Salem Oregon and we are of course known for having a wee bit of rain here in the Pacific Northwest. Now as I have been out with home buyers and previewing properties this week, I couldn’t help but notice the downpour of rain that was occurring. I’ve gotten a little bit wet this week.

Now, I’ve lived here in the PNW for almost 20 years, so I’m used to it, but I just wanted to make sure that you were clear that the old adage is “April Showers bring May Flowers.” See the rain is supposed to stop in April. So anyway…just in case you got confused, I just wanted to remind you about that.

I’m looking forward to the rain stopping so I can get back to selling real estate in some dryer weather. Homes with great views are looking like gray blobs, and some relocating buyers think the PNW is one giant mound of muddy clay…

Anyway, in case you are listening…remember…April showers bring May flowers, NOT April showers bring May showers and showers and showers…”

Sincerely,

Melina Tomson
